Never the muse

Everyone says,

Always the artist, never the muse

But it’s true.

I sit at my desk.

Drawing and drawing;

Writing and writing.

Drawing and writing others.

Sometimes me.

But, the art of me is me with all my highlighted flaws.

I want someone to paint me as an angel.

The way an artist paints when they’re in love.

I want poems, novels, letters to be written about me.

I want to see the love in the pen strokes.

I want emotion to be captured perfectly in my eyes.

I want paragraphs describing me.

I want to be able to look at it and know it was made with me in mind.

I want to be made into art with the same love I do with everyone else.
