Two hands in front of an empty backround

My name is Alex

#Identity

My name is Alex.

But, I haven’t always been.

I used to be Alba.

I changed my name to Alex.

Alba was just too feminine.

Too not me.

It felt like carrying the name of someone I don’t know on my back.

Now, Alba leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Like a rotten fruit.

Though, Alex still feels foreign.

Like speaking truth after lying my whole life.

It feels like I’ve lost myself in the process.

My name doesn't feel right in my mouth and ears.
Neither of them do.
